Data Recovery

Data is the most important thing within any small or big organization .

Steps To Take When You’ve Lost Your Data

Stop what you are doing

Further use of your device could make the situation worse and render your data permanently irrecoverable. It’s advisable therefore to safely discontinue using your device in any capacity. What’s more, in the cases of fire and flood damage you’ll want to minimize any potential risk to yourself and your data by stopping what you are doing.

Avoid moving computer when operational

protect against power surges with UPS

Practice disk maintenance .

Do not over-tweak your system

Preventing Data Loss

There is nothing that can replace backup to prevent data loss and avoid expensive recovery.

Backup simply means you are keeping at least one copy of the original data, preferably not in the same disk media. Backup could often be misconstrued as the followings:

  • I backup my notebook data in the external USB drive or the cloud and then delete the original data in the notebook.
